First UMC Hosts the Warming Center This Coming Week
The Macomb County Warming Center returns to First Church on Sunday evening, January 29th, and continues here through Sunday Morning, February 5th.  The Warming Center seeks to provide a safe, warm place to spend the night for those who would otherwise have no shelter.  Macomb County churches partner with the Macomb County Warming Center to provide shelter to those in need.  The Warming Center opens at 8:00pm each night and provides a simple supper; a blanket, pillow, and warm spot through the night and into early morning; and a good breakfast.  The only requirement for our guests' admittance is good behavior.  If you are interested in contributing in any way including your time, please contact the Church Office.  (office@mountclemensumc.org or 586.468.6464) 

The Wednesday J.A.M. Journey Continues This Week!
Kids four years of age through eighth grade, come on Wednesdays at 5:00pm, to join in the fun at First UMC’s new, re-vamped Wednesday program!  With a new name, Wednesday J.A.M. (Jesus And Me), comes an exciting new approach to First UMC’s mid-week education ministry.  There will be singing, playing, learning, and crafting, and a meal for everyone.  Picture the fun of Vacation Bible School EVERY Wednesday… don’t miss it!  And, this exciting ministry can always make good use of the contributions of many excited volunteers!  Speak with Kim Evans, Director of Children’s & Youth Ministries, in person or contact the Church Office for more information for all interested kids and volunteers too!
