This Advent we will have a special study to help us hone in on the story of Christ’s birth.
This Advent we will be reading Rev. Dr. Cynthia M Campbell’s, Christmas in the Four Gospel Homes, which looks at the Christmas narrative in the four different gospels and relates what distinguishes each Gospel. She uses the analogy of setting your house for Christmas, and how each Gospel distinguishes itself in depth and story.
This book is simple enough that it will be easy to read through during Advent but will also provide some good thoughts and questions to help us to grow in faith and understand the story of Christmas better.
If you are interested in partaking in the study, we will have two options for you to join. We will have an in-person class each Tuesday at 2:00 at the church. We will also have a Zoom option Tuesday evening at 7:30pm.
We will meet November 29th, December 6th, December 13th, and December 20th.
If you are interested, please call or email to let Wendy and Pastor Dan know so we can provide you a book. Books will cost $10, but if you need help with cost, please let us know.
Please let us know if you are signing up for the afternoon or evening class.
5:00pm Children’s Service
We will have an interactive Children’s service for all our children and family.
We will hear the story of Christmas, build the nativity together, and sing some of our favorite Christmas hymns!
Following the service there will be a short time of fellowship with milk and cookies.
7:00pm Traditional Service with Candlelight
Join us for our traditional service where we will hear the story of Christ’s birth and worship together!
We will hear scripture, hear lots of special music from our talented musicians, sing beloved Christmas hymns together, and close together with a candlelight Silent Night.
We will have candles available for all ages.
Come celebrate Christ!
11:00pm Contemplative Candlelight Service
Our late-night Christmas service will be full of Christmas hymns, scripture, and a warm atmosphere.
We will close our service with Silent Night with candles,
and will close the evening entering into Christmas Day with light and joy.
10:00am Christmas Morning Service
This year Christmas Day falls on a Sunday!
We will worship together on Christmas, hearing the stories of some of our favorite Christmas hymns, and will have some special music prerecorded.
It will be a hybrid service with different voices, some recorded, and some in person.
